I lead strategic initiatives in HIV surveillance and epidemiologic research, overseeing Medical Monitoring Project (MMP) data management, Power BI KPI dashboards, and executive reporting. My research focuses on HIV care outcomes, health equity, and access to innovative prevention and treatment strategies. I also collaborate with CDC and CDPH to strengthen data quality, advance evidence-based research, and align public health priorities.
I oversaw HIV surveillance for the Houston Health Department, including its Cluster Detection and Response program. I supervised a team of epidemiologists and data analysts and wrote procedures the bureau adopted. Our work helped detect clusters faster and supported prevention efforts with partners.
I ran COVID-19 case investigations and contact tracing for the City of Houston's workforce. I produced situation reports and forecasts to guide the response. When Monkeypox arrived, I helped manage both responses at the same time.
I managed data quality for Houston's immunization records in the Texas vaccine registry. Our standards and automation made the data more accurate. I also coordinated mass vaccination events and outreach to underserved communities.
During my MPH, I led a care transition program for heart failure patients at Advocate Aurora Health. We helped patients with non-medical barriers such as transportation and insurance. The program reduced hospital readmissions.
As a physician in Benin, I also took part in public health work. I organized community immunization campaigns and investigated HIV, TB, and STI cases. I contributed surveillance data to national reporting systems.
